About Jacob:
Jacob has been an attorney for over 20 years. He received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 2001, prior to which he had earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Brooklyn College.
Over the course of his career, Jacob’s practice focused on litigation in state and federal courts, as well as before arbitration panels and administrative tribunals. He has also handled criminal, bankruptcy, real estate, corporate and transactional matters. A “lawyer’s lawyer,” Jacob was frequently retained to handle motions, appeals and other work on behalf of colleagues at law firms.
In January of 2022, Jacob became Associate Court Attorney at the New York City Civil Court, Kings County, where he assists the Hon. Saul Stein in the wide variety of litigation that comes before the Court. These include commercial landlord-tenant cases, credit card and consumer debt litigation, no-fault insurance disputes, and small claims matters. He regularly drafts legal opinions, conducts court conferences with parties and attorneys, and acts as small claims court arbitrator and referee.
Jacob resides in Brooklyn with his wife and children, and is now seeking to bring his skills and experience to the bench as a judge in the New York City Civil Court.
